The Great Egg Scramble Scandal!

The price of eggs has been a contentious subject lately. Many years ago, the democrats promised a "chicken in every pot," but apparently they've run out of our money and now we can't even afford an egg on toast. The alphabet "News" blames our current president who has only been in office for less than a month. As if he's had time to go speak with all the prisoners in chicken coop cells not yet executed by the bird flu gestapo, and ask the remaining feathered fowls to:

Uncle Sam Rooster

"Please lay more eggs, quickly! We need eggs! Huge eggs! The best eggs! The kind of eggs that will make America great again! Healthy again! Yoke-wealthy again! We need patriot chickens! Chickens who heed the call, "Easter is coming! Easter is coming!"

Sadly, most chickens don't lay on command. Not even patriot chickens.

I wonder why the all-knowing think-tanks or Ted talkers haven't come up with an alternative. Duck eggs. Ostrich eggs. Maybe even turkey eggs. There must be a bird out there willing to come to the aid of its country.

Congress should get right on that! Of course, the Dodo bird will probably come back from extinction before our two-party government is able to work together for the good of the people. They can't even agree that biology matters and men can't be women.

But I digress.

It's a fact that politicians lie. And often point their fingers at the other side about something ridiculous in order to take the spotlight off of their own corruption. So, my best bet is that the hoopla over the high price of EGGS is just more political deflecting. They don't like the fact that this administration is intent on auditing their insane spending around the world, and will probably find the money trail leads directly back to them and their pocketbooks. And they'll be left with egg on their faces.

How do you like your eggs? Scrambled? Fried? Poached? Hard boiled?

As soon as they figure out how to bring down the price of eggs, I hope they start on the price of beef.  I'd love to be able to afford a nice thick steak again. Then all the chickens could rest easy knowing the weight of the world no longer rests on their ability to lay.
